Can pedophiles get non sexual crushes on kids?
Because I seemed to have had that where I got the butterflies around them and loved their company, but I didnt think of them sexually. Do pedophiles do that to start out with, or is there always a sexual part to it?

I don´t know but when I was 19 I used to have a totally non-sexual "crush" on a 13-year-old gril. It wasn´t really a crush, but rather a deep friendship and admiration. Sometimes I even thought that if I were a guy, I would want to marry her.

Hi kidicudi14,
I can see from your previous posts that your worries about paedophilia and your confusion about whether you are a paedophile or simply have OCD are really troubling you.
Have you considered talking to a therapist/psychologist? I worry that no matter what people on here say, you will continue to doubt and battle with yourself. Perhaps discussing all your concerns with a professional may be the best way to resolve these questions you have?
No diagnosis, lots of opinions, and a bunch of issues that I haven't quite figured out.

I have thought about it but I just dont have time right now and I feel that talking about this with a person face to face would be weird an awkward and i am not sure id be comfortable doing that

I understand. It can be hard to talk about some things. Maybe it’s something to keep in mind for a time when you are feeling stronger?
Another option would be to use an online professional therapist. That may make it a little easier.

What is a non sexual crush?
Isn't that just liking someone?
Talk to someone, a human being, a counsellor, a professional someone that will understand what the big question is that you haven't actually asked yet. I don't even think that you know what you want to know. So you will not find out what the answer is here. It may be strange to talk to people about what happens inside your skull but there are people that will make it easy for you to do so. There is something troubling you, and there's someone trained to help.

Kidcudi, you mentioned somewhere that you have OCD.
What are you doing about it?
That is where you will get relief, not from worry.
I know that you live in a country that doesn't like free healthcare. But there are organisations, charities, church groups something that will be able to help. Google Mental Health America and I'm sure you'll find something.
A professional will be able to help with the thoughts, and won't be concerned about what they are so much as your ability to control them. These guys will have heard far worse than you could imagine!
