Studies of Pedophiles

Postby Blben » Fri Apr 15, 2011 4:26 am

I am just curious if anyone knows of anyone or any college or mental insitution that is currently doing any studies that have to do with pedophilia? I would like to get involved in some and put in my two cents since I am a pedophile myself and if someone wants to understand pedophilia even more I would like to answer questions and do whatever I can to help. If anyone knows of anything or how I can go about finding out where they do these studies that would be great. Thanks

Does it have to be scientific? I'm interested from the literary perspective. And from a general intellectual perspective.

Good luck with that one. You'll be lucky to find one university actively studying pedophilia - unless all the study participants happen to be prison inmates. About 8 months ago, the leader of B4U-ACT began emailing the APA every day, inquiring that since the organization was consulting live transsexuals before undertaking studies about transsexualism, why didn't they have a chat with some of the pedophiles involved with B4U-ACT? Every time, the response was:
"Stop emailing us. We have satisfied our (PC) requirements."

Then again, that is the APA. I've had too much going on in the past 8 months, and have fallen out of touch with the whole pedophile saga. There are some colleges that are undertaking studies on "pedophilia", but that is because they treat the word as a synonym for child sexual abuse. If you can convince at least one of those analysts to invite you round for a cup of coffee, I will be impressed.

The most important study on pedophiles that big government never published in the naughties, is the one about social stigma affecting pedophiles. Why is it okay to slander pedophiles when we have 14-year-old mini pedophiles at risk of cutting themselves? Thanks Trevor helpline... but no thanks.

What do mean literary? You wish to write a book of some sort on the issue of paedophilia with paedophiles' views quoted? Unless you can prove the person is a paedophile (Yes there is a test. Blood flow to your sexual organ is monitored as you are shown various visual (possibly also audio) stimulae. It is quite obvious in men when their 'blood flow increases' to the penis but I'm not sure of the accuracy of the result in women) their words mean no more than the words of a non-paedophile.

As for educating yourself on paedophilia...it's nice to see some open mindedness!

The only reason such tests are conducted even today is to 'assess the risk of potential offenders'. What kind of pedophile wants to be verified as a pedophile by a state-run-child-molester-detector?

The documented word of pedophiles does not need to be officially verified. It is verified by every other pedophile who can relate to the experiences. If an account that gets published doesn't give an accurate representation of us, we will whine about it on forums like these. Besides, there are so many misrepresentations and half-truths about pedophilia in circulation, that diminishing returns are in effect. This means any evidence that represents the reality of pedophilia will always have a more substantial effect on the masses.

I am of the mind that we are all potential offenders in the governments eyes and that the majority of people will learn about paedophilia by reading the latest child molestation case in the local news report showing a mugshot or otherwise unflattering picture of the offender and the offense they are guilty of in bold as the title. It would be nice if anonymity was provided to paedophiles to come forward and simply give their '2 cents'. There is possibly no place for wishful thinking on a forum like this one though.
