masochist?

i was looking aimlessly through the forums trying to find out about stuff i'd never heard of. i found this section. i think i'm a masochist. i used to cut myself. now i get tats and piercings. i don't get to many though, 'cause that looks bad (in my opinion) i figure if i'm gonna self-mutilate; it might as well be decorative... i like to submit, but this isn't the case in many social scenarios. i was abused pretty bad as a child. the abuse was sexual, physical and verbal. maybe this is the cause. i don't know. any thoughts?
