What percentage of the population...(pedophilia)

The answer is at least 3% of the population is pedophile.

If we talk about clear preference of children, then I guess it's around 1 %. But if we talk about some level of attraction, then it gets very blur based on what you consider enough.

I wouldn't be surprised if 99% of men had some sexual attraction towards prepubescent children or potential for it. Probably less women do. I don't have a clue how many prefer children but most of what I've read suggests about 20-25% have an equivalent or greater attraction to children than adults.

I'm not that surprised. Back in the day people used to marry at pre-pubertal ages (and even have sex) when they were 10 , 11 , 12 , 13 years old..... so in a way attraction to kids is pretty much seeded in all of us

Absolutely, not to mention that few girls reached puberty before the age of 15 throughout most of history.

Not to mention that hundreds of years ago it was completely natural to take your 11 year old boy to a prostitute!

Everyone who just read that would be going to hell if that were the case. We can't control our thoughts let alone be condemned for them. Consequently, there's no such thing as impure or inappropriate thoughts - we can't NOT think of something UNTIL we think of it. Just one of many strange things about this universe. The belief that you are responsible for every little errant random thought that pops into your head comes from, yup you guessed it, Christianity. Yet another thing they're damned for.

In answer to the OP then, as close to 100 percent as makes no odds. Can't NOT approach a minor for sex until thinking about it, realizing it's taboo, and not doing it.

I'd like to add something here today.
I'm not trying to "normalize" pedophilia or anything.

Just an opinion of mine I feel rather strongly about.

In my view, when people do not see the beauty in children, or if they are NOT attracted to want to love them, or even feel healthy arousal sometimes, by kids.
I think they are bad people, they have no respect for humanity or the life-cycle, and there is something wrong with them. I think they are dangerous people.

Just as dangerous as those who lack the impulse control, who will offend children, they are bad too.

But those in the middle, who are honest, who know kids are beautiful and attractive.
They ARE the only normal ones.
Those are signs of being a good person.

That is my message for you today.
I don't want people to be suicidal, or driven insane by liars in our society.
Most pedophiles are really good people, just like most homos, or most people in general.
Pedophilia is not what makes you a bad person.
Violence, or greed, or lies, those make you bad. Not loving or being attracted to loving.
