Hi,

I am an Atheist and, as such, I might not be able to relate to you as much as I like to think that I can. However, you seem to have an interest in faith and seeking answers to life. So, why don't you put this interest to good use and take a course in Philosophy at a nearby university/college? You are sounding increasingly like my brother, by the way: He is now a part-time yoga teacher and he has embraced the Hare-Krisna movement. However, he does all of this for himself and doesn't go marching on parades with them, or go to meetings.

In my opinion, however, a person doesn't need religion in life in order to be happy and comfortable. One of the most striking things a person has ever said to me was this: "I cannot believe that you aren't religious, Kevin [i.e. - me], because you are such a nice and kind person". My reply was that I don't need religion to know how to be nice to people.

Hi,

Yes... you might be right, I could take a course in philosophy. But in my case, I think it would just give more information. I could try anyways.

I have a friend who belongs to the Hare Krishna movement. You know what confuses me? I see that most people at a certain age seem to have figured out their lives, their dreams, what they want. And I feel in the middle of nowhere. Somehow, this is my fault. I haven't been persistent enough with the multiple therapy sessions I have had. The good thing is that I think I have reached the point where I know I can't continue escaping from my life and avoiding choices. Life, after all, is about making choices. An I think that after all this time I am getting finally ready to make the right choices for me. Even though I'm not still sure which paht I should take.

I feel happy, though. Since I found out I have SPD, things have got in their place little by little. And if don't lose faith and hope I believe that in a couple of years my life will have a direction. Step by step.

Thank you for all your comments.

Alex.
