I'm in my teens, I'm really scared

sometimes when I look in the mirror I feel sort of sexually attracted towards myself. I promise I'm 100% serious, not trolling. I tried to research it and some people said it was narcissism but I have extremely low almost nonexistent self esteem. I really don't know what's happening. Has anyone heard of this? I don't know what to do...I'm not ready to talk about it with my therapist yet.

Are you attracted to other people? I don't mean to belittle your problems but if you are then try not to be scared. Try to work up the courage to speak to your therapist about it as well. I think people can still have low self esteem and yet think highly of themselves in certain aspects and think arrogantly. I'm not sure if it is narcissism or not so I would suggest trying to tell your therapist about it. Try not to be ashamed or scared by this if you still find other people attractive.
What do you mean by "sort of sexually attracted"?
Are you gay or bisexual if you don't mind me asking? Sorry if that is too personal and I don't want to put thoughts in your head but some gay people find their reflection attractive when they are younger and some gay or bisexual people can be sexually attracted to their identical twins. I'm not saying this is what is going on but it is something to consider if you are gay or bisexual.

Thanks for your reply, I am sexually attracted to other people. It hasn't occurred very often but when it does it's sort of short-lived I guess, that's what I meant by 'sort of attracted'. I will have to talk to my therapist I don't see her for a while but I'll try and bring it up because it is worrying me. I am pansexual which is attraction to all genders so that could be the cause as well.

Possibly. I think you should definitely talk to your therapist about it if it is troubling you.
