19 yr old in court

A 19 yr old who looks like a 16 yr old has just appeared in court for indecent images. Among the comments on the UK paedos exposed facebook page is "I hope he gets raped by some big black #####&" - only 18 months earlier such a thing would be child rape.

How can these people wish a violent rape on, essentially, a teenage boy and proclaim themselves to be moral. He was mostly likely underage when he first happened across images and more than likely searching for teen porn rather than paedophilia.

Looking at the wrong image online makes you deserve rape. Rape of teenage boys is apt, but only if they are over 18 to these people.

Yet if someone wished rape on Katy Hopkins, that evil thing who wishes death on refugees and the poor, they would find themselves arrested.

I think many of the people who follow such pages are pretty angry and bitter people anyway. Its just like any other comment section too. People feel safe over the internet and will say things they'd never say in person. As for morality, mankind is capable of great evil and if we had a zombie apocalypse morality would be tossed aside in no time.

It needs to be established that the internet is its own conspirator here. This naming and shaming should stop. It's evil. 1st time offenders should get treatment and rehabilitation not branded for life. Hes 19 for gods sake, whole life ruined.

And if he goes to prison he is boyish enough that he will be raped. What will those 'moral' rapists see in him? His boyishness. Hypocrisy. It is known that the more boy like a prisoner the more the 'nonse hating' cons are into them. When they have put teen boys in adult jails almost always they are raped if anyone gets a half a chance. Double standards and hypocrisy.

I think those stories of rape and the like are a bit of a myth these days. In the Uk, anyway. He will be in a VPU with others who have committed similar offences.

'Images of child rape'. That seems a whole lot different to 'indecent images' or is that site using inaccurate language? I don't see how he can think that a 3 and 6 year old are 17 either.

I don't condone his crime. I have a niece that age, of course I find the idea as monstrous as the next person. I still think he should be rehabilitated and given the chance to make good his life. I don't think he should carry shame for the whole rest of his life.

Indecent images is the name of the crime in the UK - reason is it includes such things as a collection of topless teenage boys or children at the beach in swimwear for example. If you must tar a thing, use a very broad brush.

Yeah I don't think prison is the answer at all.

Prison should be for repeat offenders only in this case, or those who have physically done stuff with kids. To many, the internet world and the real world and completely divorced, which is why so few who get caught just looking actually go on to reoffend.
