I have been a pedophile my entire life and there is no way that I can tell who is or isn't a pedophile. Yet that could just be me but I think in this day and age it's almost impossible to know who is and who isn't.

Never had a situation where I thought "Ah, he could be like me". Hope that it never happened the other way around.

I would say the "phenomena" is more closely related to Psychoanalyzing; to some degree. I've definitely picked up on some subtle inclinations that friends and strangers seem to emanate. Some are not subtle at all.
I think it is simply a matter of people who are educated enough to not only know the likely populous of other sexualities, but also understand them, their attractions, and their tendencies.

Sometimes when I suspect someone of being a pedophile, I randomly talk about how kids grow up too fast or how revealing clothes can be. There is a kind of thrill when someone speaks your language.
