Oh god, please don't! I know you'd get the job, because they need soulless people willing to do that for ratings.

I can see that happening, sadly enough.

Kids experiment, though they really shouldn't be doing that. There are good reasons why not even kids should do it to eachother though.

Think you'll find it is a right wing issue, and linked to capitalism. The traditional family unit is valuable to capitalism, everything outside of that is a threat and should be criminalized, which is good for capitalism. This is a derivative of the moral panic which saw the concept of a paedophile dragged up from 13 to 18 where it is today, the reason for that is tied in with a notion of women as property - property of the father to be passed on to property of the husband - anything outside of that was perversion.

I do agree with Chessplayer, this is more about idiots than politics. I think even Conservatives can see this is stupid, and that is saying something! :lol:

I think you'll all find that its neither a left nor right issue, they both agree. It's politically useful, and has roots in our teaching our kids to be helpless by being overprotective. 13 does still seem a bit young, as they're barely teenagers. Though the age of consent should really go back to 16.

That... doesn't make any sense. Traditional family values being related to capitalism? Capitalism is based on the desire to increase the wealth and comfort of one's own life through the use of trade. Sure, they're both related to the right side of the political spectrum, but I don't see any other relation. Besides, there are PLENTY of left-wings out there that buy into this stuff as well.
