Off Colour Humour

Do you guys enjoy off colour humor relating to your paraphilias?

There are lots of jokes relating to pedophilia and incest out there among other stuff.

I think I'd like them anyway but I think I like them more because of my affinity for girls. I don't like rape though but I'm embarrassed to say that some of those jokes have caught me by surprise.

I'm not saying quote them but does anyone else enjoy these?

It depends on the intent. Jokes aren't always malicious, and I'm a believer that you have to be able to laugh at yourself at times in this world. It's not healthy to take yourself overly seriously to the point of insecurity.

I get necrophile jokes cracked at me. They're often very clever, but occasionally I only laugh because of the sheer ignorance of them, and it's better to find amusement in that than get angry. Sometimes you've got to rise above the piss takers, and be the bigger person.

Humour is subversive, holding a mirror up to folly, ignorance and slavish orthodoxy. It's a powerful tool. People used to joke about gays and ethnic minorities. Eventually it wears thin and people look for a new target to poke fun at. Look at the way Julian Clary's career dried up. He's now occasionally on panel shows saying next to nothing. It's no longer cutting edge to say 'I was just out the back sucking on a Fisherman's Friend'.
