If the part in question isn't seen in the shot, they might be faking - as in, there isn't actually penetration, or they aren't actually erect. Porn stars are still technically actors. Some of them probably even studied to be an actor but couldn't make it in the "respected" world.

I don't doubt that there are people that would commit murder for money and I don't doubt that there are people that would pay to see it done. Of course their is a huge risk in filming a murder but there are some people that are capable of paying really high prices for illicit things or all kinds. Maybe this would be a 'special order' for private viewing to keep evidence or suggestion uncirculated.

The idea of people selling snuff videos for any price is the unrealistic aspect of the legend. Two needles in two separate haystacks. A willing producer and a willing rich buyer. If the buyer has wealth he can produce his own movie for little to no money.
Hurtcore exists. Plenty of court evidence and web evidence available. In 40+ years not one snuff film has been found. Common sense says if it existed in more than single isolated instances one would have been leaked or found. Multiple buyers and sellers would lead to leaks. So a snuff industry is folklore. A snuff film is an urban legend until one emerges.

Snuff films definitely exist, but I doubt any is on the market. The ones I know of are all in police custody, and I imagine the ones Ibdon't know of are kept as carefully guarded personal secrets.
