Dear Moderator, What about those who....?

I was excited to discover Psych Forums together with it's Sexual Disorders and paraphilia's forum topics. It's refreshing being able to read and interact with others not being interrupted with XXX Spam.

When I try googling any sort of sexual term looking for meaningful dialog or soft-core images I can pretty much count on getting redirected to a number of vast porn networks offering XXX video on any kind of sex act imaginable and being bombarded with XXX pop-ups.

Live cam shows, Fetish Matchmaking, Meet and F..k Tonight, the pop-ups go on and on stacking up on my browser and are difficult if not impossible to close. I was once called an asshole for not responding to a live cam show invitation. What I really like is how it's all FREE soon as I register my credit card information. If the pop-ups are not nuisance enough I can always look forward to having my computer disabled with a nasty virus.

I certainly believe in free speech and applaud Psych Forums for offering a venue where pedophiles can reach out for help. My question is....What about those who like myself that are not interested in reading or commenting on the topic of pedophilia? The Paraphilia's Forum is 65 pages long which I estimate at least 60% of the topic is pedophilia.

Has anyone ever suggested making pedophilia into a sub forum? I'm thinking it would make it easier for members to browse other topics without having to surf thru layers and layers of pedo topics and hopefully cut back on the number of pedo topics mis-posted to the fetish, BDSM and other forums.

Thank You for considering my suggestion and keep up the good work. Planning on making a donation soon, Kev

Sounds to me like a good idea. There's definitely enough pedophilia here to warrant the creation of a subforum, as opposed to other paraphilias like bestiality and necrophilia since they are not as common.
But, at the same time, I wouldn't mind seeing all the subforums merged into one just because the site's pages take a while to load

Sir HoryLeo, Thank You for validating my idea on making pedophilia a sub forum. As for the pages loading slow now I know it's not my computer and I'm not alone. Hopefully the administration will get the idea and upgrade the server, can the provider or do whatever it takes. Maybe it's due to lack of funds so all that enjoy this site get busy and make a donation.

I Thank You All, Kev

The pages load very quickly for me, even on my phone. Maybe it's your browsers?

The pop ups make this site almost impossible to use. I am constantly forced to watch car commercials.

A subforum exclusively for pedos would become a circle jerk.

Yes. I started a thread about that a year ago too that pedophilia should have it's own index.

No admin replied to the thread.

My intuition is that it suits the agenda of the owner or administrator to keep pedophilia lumped together with people who want to cannibalize dead bodies, sexually torture animals, or lust murder their mother. As you can already see in the immature post directly above this, most people are afraid to support anything that might be seen as empowering or legitimizing pedophiles.

Quit acting like pedophiles are somehow better than other paraphiles. There is nothing special about "Girl love" *mod edit*

I have never experienced any pop ups as Sir Rinkusu describes. There may be an opt-out under user preferences but if other members are not having the same problem I suspect Rinkusu has a case of malware. I had a similar problem in the past which I discovered to be just that, Malware.

Yes, I do think that Rinkusu has malware. I have never gotten a pop-up on this site.

There are things that affect all paraphiles, an example being BlackStrat's thread, 'Forever Alone Syndrome'. You don't have to be a paedophile to relate to that, or to make a worthwhile contribution.

There's many ways in which all paraphilias are 'better together' on this forum, because there's so much about living with paraphilias that goes beyond who you're attracted to. We're all just human beings attracted to people we're not supposed to be, and when you look beyond the point of attraction, you're going to see that most of us have much in common.

There is a good case for paedophilia to have its own forum or subforum, and that's because it does dominate the Paraphilias board quite a bit. On other parts of PsychForums, I've even seen the Paraphilias board referred to as the 'Pedo Forum', and I keep contact with some necrophiles who say that they don't post here any more because the board is so paedophile dominated, anything else just falls down the board unnoticed, or that they just don't feel important here.

I don't actually agree with that, but that's how some people feel, and obviously if it makes them stay away, then non-paedophilic topics are going to be fewer still.

I think if there can be subforums for 'Fetishes' and 'BDSM', then I don't see why paedophilia can't have its own dedicated board, and then it'll be interesting to see what happens to the main Paraphilias Forum, if more people from other paraphilias start posting.

Whatever, I still think we've all got a lot in common besides who we're attracted to, and that someone attracted to traffic cones, for example, can have a lot of support to offer, and vice versa, to someone attracted to black bin liners.
