Back to the topic, I would never touch a kid sexually, of course.
There was this 9 year old at my friend's house one day. She was incredibly pretty and she tried to talk to me but I was too shy to even start a conversation with her.
In my opinion, non-sexual contact is acceptable as long as you're not a complete stranger to the kid. I wouldn't hug a child without having a certain level of acquaintance first.
