Some people just aren't the flirty type, it's normal for someone not to be.

Do you think they would they be accepting of you if you told them the truth?

Well, I only have 2 close friends really. With one of them, (my best friend) there's maybe a 20% chance he wouldn't totally leave me behind and stop talking to me. With the other... he's the older brother of the 5 year old boy I wrote about in my first post (go read it if you want context). So the most likely scenario; he would beat the living $#%^ out of me, tell all our friends, and I would never be allowed anywhere near his house ever again.

I went back and read for context, that sucks man. :(

You probably shouldn't say if you want to continue being their friend, its a shame but people have really distorted views about pedophiles and as a society it could take quite a while for them to move past that and stop behaving like complete a*holes. They only see the negative cases, or the offenders, who don't represent the community as a whole and usually aren't even pedophiles in the first place.

In regards to hiding it, I'm at a loss unless you are able to have a relationship with an adult or act like you aren't interested at all, but as you said it likely wouldn't work, sorry for not being much help..

Wishing you well. *hugs*

Before I went to prison for child molesting and I was seeing children and family or friends would ask why I don't have a girlfriend I would always make up excuses that I was busy or didn't have time or whatever came to my mind at that moment. Now that the entire world knows that I am a Pedophile they do not ask anymore since they know that I am only attracted to children.

All culture is superficial. And I don't see why you're targeting popular culture.
