I also think that many therapists are able to help clients differentiate between active paedophilic thoughts, and intrusive, OCD-related thoughts. As well as factoring in other issues that could result in the kind of distressing thought situation the Original Poster was in.

That's not malicious, that's part of having a conversation. Please try not to bash other users with labels like "asshole" and "dumbass." No one here is stupid and it's OK if people see things differently. The aim as I see it is to explore those differences. With a focus on being healthy and happy without hurting anyone or being at risk of breaking laws. People may find their answers along different paths, that's OK.
