Possible pedophilia?

Today I (almost 17 yrs old) was passing through a door, and this young-looking (looks like a 7th grader) 9th grade girl was holding it open for me and a bunch of other people.

I accidentally touched her hand when I decided to keep the door open for myself, and her hand was very warm! I almost felt like I had melted, because I had never touched a warm female hand before and I felt somewhat drawn to her because of this.

Do you guys think this attraction I felt was pedophilia?

How old is a 7th grader? 12/13 years old?

I don't think this is pedophilia.. I mean, you also is pretty young, and it's not a big age gap between you both . Also, you ever felt this feeling towards other girl like her?

By the strictest sense of the definition, Pedophilia is Prepubescent children. You say she's a 9th grader who looks like a 7th grader. Probably about 50% of the 7th graders (if any that) fit that definition these days. The fact you know shes a 9th grader tells me that you aren't. Do you have these thoughts often? You may want to check out the OCD forums, as this sounds like something they struggle with. Frankly, human biology has hardwired humans to notice females in the ages of 7th and 9th grade, and that fact that your 17 on top of this says its perfectly natural.

I don't have these thoughts often at all and this is frankly the first time this sort of thing has happened to me. I saw her on campus more than a 100 times now and I haven't felt any attraction to her until I had this accidental physical contact with her.

I go to a grade 7 - 12 school and for most of the middle schooler girls (with the exception of 1 who has long legs/big feet and I have partialism for both body parts) I dont find them attractive, especially considering that half of them look as if they just graduated 5th grade.

But I'm confused why this accidental physical contact made me feel attracted to this specific girl..considering she looks young as well.

Id be willing to bet 10:1 that you aren't a pedophile
