[News:] "Pedophilia Is Love According to Italy Court"

A 60-year-old man who was sentenced to five years in jail after getting caught in bed with an 11-year-old girl has had his conviction tossed out after his victim told the court she was in love with him.

According to Italian media, the man is a social services worker from the southern town of Catanzaro, and the girl, a disadvantaged youth, was placed in his care.

A police raid on the man's seaside cottage resulted in the two being found together in bed.

The man was found guilty of sexual violence against a minor and sentenced to serve five years behind bars, but the sentence was vacated last week by the local Supreme Court after the victim professed her love for the perp.

The judges determined that the two were in a "romantic relationship," and ordered a retrial.

It is unclear if this decision will ultimately lead to a full acquittal.

This man should have served his sentence he was in a position of trust and power. To abuse this trust was disgusting

Sure she 'loved' him, he has probably been the only person who has given her the attention she craved.
A man of 60 and a girl of 11. No.
This girl needed a trusted father figure, not a old sexual partner. He is a paedophile, a user.
These judges should struck off immediately.

A decision like this leaves the way open for so many abuses.

This is about a little girl, Naxal. A girl of eleven years.

She's not old enough in the eyes of the law of most countries to consent to this sort of thing, no matter what those disgusting judges might think. You might have your own revolting reasons why you don't want to accept that, but they don't belong on a support forum for people living with paraphilias such as paedophilia.

DON'T YOU DARE tell anybody that they don't wish to protect children, when your main reason for being on this forum (under various accounts) has always been to promote the idea that it's acceptable for grown men to screw them.

She was placed in his care. That alone in most countries is enough to convict him, even if she were at the age of consent. But 11 years old? This should be about what's in the best interests of the child. Those judges are deluded, to put it mildly. The public outrage over this might be enough to convince them to reverse their decision. I certainly hope it does.

On another matter...I keep asking myself why Naxal is even on this forum. What do you get out of promoting views which are clearly in stark contrast to those of everyone else here? I'm surprised the mods allow you to continue. Almost every post I read of yours sounds like something a NAMBLA member would write to excuse criminal behavior. Most of the people who frequent this forum are living with attractions that are vilified in modern society and come here for support to keep from offending, and the way I see it, a lot of your posts get in the way of that, so please...just stop. This is not the place for rationalizing the acting out of harmful and dangerous fantasies.

As I come from the southern part of this country, I felt extremely ashamed of what happened and what is allowed to happen here. When I read the news (I knew it before reading this here, and was amazed seeing it here), I felt both disgusted and ashamed.
There is no possible way an 11 year-old can consent to sex, or even worse, "love" in a romantic way. Sorry but I do not believe it is possible. Here the age of consent is clearly 14, and if they found this man and the child naked in the bed, it only means they had some kind of sexual contact or even full sex, hence it is illegal and the man surely manipulated the little girl. How the law did not condemn this is beyond my understanding. There is an age of consent for one exact reason.
It is easy to fool an 11 year-old girl into believing you actually love, it's easy to conquer her trust by giving her attentions, gifts and all sorts of promises and care. It's easier to do so when the child comes from a problematic social background, an abusive family for example, or was already abused in the past.
I do not want to complain about laws and their (failed) application in the country, but I guess this man had an important social position / important acquaintances and it allowed him not to be sent to jail - and things like that too often happen in my country, which is a big problem for us all.
