Attraction x Sexual attraction x Paraphilia

First of all: i very probably have pocd, i want to know your guys opinion! Well, i was walking in the mall today and i saw this quite pretty young girl (about 7, 8 years old) and i thought how attractive she will be when she grows up, and i got pretty sick after i thought that... I mean, if i think she's pretty, but do not have fantasies and do not have a sexual attraction to her does it mean i'm a pedophile? I felt really weird around her, with a huge fear of groinal response...
So, basically, my question is: Is that sort of "i think she's pretty and will grow up well" thought abnormal, or is it paraphilic? Does being "attracted" to her in no-sexual ways because she will be a beautifull grown woman today means i'm a pedophile? what's your guys opinion?

People are attracted to the sight of pretty flowers, does it mean they want to have sex with those flowers? I don't know why you are making finding a little girl pretty into a sexual thing if you don't feel anything sexual for her.

it's because of the OCD i guess, i keep worrying i might feel something sexual for kids, so i'm always watching my actions, even though i don't wanna do anything to them or never did.... You know? does that makes me a pedophile?

Absolutely not!
It's just this symptom of POCD distorting the perception of things and what things are, making you POCD guys with an irrational fear of being pedos search for an evidence proving the opposite of what your POCD irrational fear contains.
You are not a pedophile, every common human being finds children cute, it does not mean being a pedophile.
Being a pedophile means that sexual attraction is involved, together with (not in all cases though) an emotional/romantic attraction.
If you do not have these two conditions, you are not a pedophile, simple as that. By definition, form and essence, you just cannot be one.
Question: but if I have a groinal response doesnt it mean I am aroused hence sexually attracted?
No, it means nothing if it is not accompained by a concrete sexual attraction, as an erection might even be caused by humping a pillow for example, so does it mean that someone who does it is attracted to that object? No.

Once you get that, you have no reason to keep fearing something.
You need to interrupt that constant stream of obsessive thoughts leading you to think such things, for this I would suggest an effective, accurate therapy aimed at lessening the strength of obsessive thoughts.

If i see an attractive kid, i'll think she's attractive (in a not sexual way) and will have no thoughts about them sexually, but if i saw child porn for instance i'd have pleasure from it, even if i thought it's disgusting.... My point is: a pedophile is someone who is aroused/attracted sexually to children in NON sexual, cotidian situations? Because i'm attracted to mature woman/teenagers that way, not kids. If i see a hot woman in the street, i'll be sexually attracted, but if i see a kid i'll just think it's cute and would not think about it sexually in the cotidian or fantasize about it.... So, does it mean is just pocd? can you guys awsner me please? Thanks!

I think that to be a pedophile you would have to be attracted to a child in non sexual situations too. Most people think kids are cute, so thinking a young girl is cute isn't weird at all.
With porn, I think it's kind of tricky, because you might be getting turned on by the sexual situation presented rather than by the child.
I'm a necrophile and for me that has meant that I'm very attracted to corpses in non-sexual situations, and real life.
So, I really think it is just pocd.
