With paraphilias, the 'real thing' is going to change you. If you've struggled carrying the shame and guilt of having a particular attraction, that won't get any better if you've actually done the thing that you know repulses everyone else.

You'll have crossed a line, and you can never go back to being the person you were.

Let's say you have an attraction to pigs. Dealing with fancying a pig is one thing, but being a person who has actually had sexual intercourse with a pig is a much heavier thing to have on your shoulders. Once you've done it, you will always be a person who has shagged a pig, and you will never be able to wash that off of yourself.

That's true knowing you have acted, knowing you can act and have acted is something that you never forget. When I tell anyone what I am. The first thing they ask is have you done anything. Its hard to answer honestly

We can remember past actions fondly, but it should be remembered that prison is the price of acting upon most of the paras in this forum. Breaking laws (in the past, present, or future) is a bad thing. Prison sucks.
