Do you have any mental disorder (over pedophilia)?

I think among pedophiles there are more people who has other mental disorder as well, I'd like to survey this in this topic and poll...
If you do, what kind of other mental disorder do you have? Do you take drugs?

Hi LonelyMaster. Just to warn you, not everyone considers paedophilia to be a "mental disorder". Many here consider it to be a sexual attraction or orientation, and like all sexual attractions, it can cause the person no distress, or can lead to mental anguish, obsession, and criminal sexual acts.

People may be more willing to open up and share details of their mental disorders if you share a little something about yourself and your interest in this topic.

I dojnt know if I have POCD or actual pedophilia....ever since 8 months ago (im almost 17 now) I became obsessed over pedophilia, what caused it, why it was harmful for kids, blah blah because for some reason I cant remember, I became worried that I was one but I havent recognized it yet. Also today where I live its in the 90 degrees so almost all the females I see wear short shorts and show a lot of skin, including elementary school girls, etc. And I found myself staring at a young girl wearing a short skirt and feeling somewhat aroused as I would have been if I saw any other teenager or adult female in shorts. So Im confused whether I have a OCD over pedophilia, or Im an actual pedophile

I voted "Yes, I do", to name a few (I'm diagnosed with these disorders):
OCD, depression, bipolar depression, social phobia, general anxiety, schizotypal disorder...
I take 5 kind of drugs...
I'm a BL BTW, 30 years old, I realised that I'm a BL when I was 20, it was a very difficult and long term.
I like movies (mainly those ones who have boys in it ), computers, music, underground systems...

I think you've got to be very careful when you make connections between paraphilia and mental disorders, not just because it's potentially offensive.

I know from my own experience that paraphilia can be a root cause of depression and anxiety, but it's important to state that it was the paraphilia that came first.

Peoples' sexual orientations are not caused by mental disorders. Not in the vast majority of cases anyway. The danger in not pointing that out is that harmless Joe Bloggs who lives alone and suffers from depression, might find himself the target of his local boneheads if that sort of erroneous, irresponsible (and potentially malicious) connection starts being made on social media.
