"Troll" became well-known in a few years. Necrophiles are still largely known as "necrophiliacs" and have been for a lot longer. Different words and meanings catch on. This is not one of them.

The same could be said for homosexuals before the word 'gay' came along. It was originally coined from the initials for 'good as you', and it's been an undoubted success for that community.
Unfortunately, it's difficult to imagine a similar, positive sounding word to describe necrophiles.
I like 'Enchanted Romantic'. It's a bit long, but something along that line would be a good start. I think the shorter and simpler the word, the better.

I prefer a case by case approach to this kind of thing. You cant just pass sweeping legislation like this. it is ignorant and inhuman.
