No he contented himself with beating me up, he is still the only member of my family who I feel actually hates me.

Her advice isn't to... good. She vaguely told me to get a girlfriend after I told her that I don't feel romantically interested in women and I have my boyfriend who's great already AND that I get crushes on unkempt little girls every now and then..

I much prefer my therapist when I want to vent about it..

Yeah, especially with this kind of stuff. I think telling someone anything sexual can be really awkward in the first place, but when you mix in children or violence or whatever it is you're into, it's almost impossible to predict how someone will react. Sometimes though, that's what makes me want to just blurt it out, just to see the look of shock and confusion on someone's face

Kristoff- Geez, I don't even have 8 friends, let alone 8 people I can trust enough to tell this stuff to! You're really lucky you can be open with your family and friends. It'd be nice to be able to be so open about it.. If you don't mind, can I ask what your paraphilia is? I'm curious now.

Graveyard- I'm sorry to hear that I read the other post you made where you talked about everyone finding out and being jerks about it. I did the same thing once and made a vague comment when I was really drunk. Somehow I was lucky enough that this person didn't really care or completely understand what I was saying, though he has joked about me "killing him in his sleep." Anyway, I hope things get better. People will get over it, and if they don't, then fukc them

Funnily enough, the same people who were blasting me behind my back are now obliviously gossiping TO ME and IN FRONT OF ME about somebody else's sexual eccentricity, ie; somebody who was recently caught cross dressing... in the privacy of his own home I might add.

I have to wonder if some people are actually self aware at times.

I have pedophilia and blood fetish. They're not really related thankfully. And yeah, I am lucky.

Oh, and my S.O. He's been a huge help.

So far I have told 3 friends and my mum and dad. Mum was obviously shocked and disappointed but said although she really hates what I have done and can't understand it she still loves me. All she wants to do is help me get things sorted if only it was that easy that she could cuddle me and tell me it will all be OK, natural mothers instinct I guess.

Step dad was surprisingly calm about it too although he had a few choice words about the matter, but he is generally a laid back guy.

One of my male friends has a few skeletons in his past nothing really that drastic but I was there for him during a bad part of his life and he still talks to me, my other male friend knows and again as he has known me a long time wants to help.

My female friend has been brilliant for me in me keeping strong and trying to deal with stuff although we don't discuss the ins and outs.

My brother also knows as my mum told him, although I have not spoken to him since my mum told him and he hasn't spoken to me, we have never been that close after we grew up and now even less so I guess and probably will never speak to him again unless he comes to me I can't force him to talk to me, means I will most likely miss out on my nephew growing up and being a proper uncle to him but that is my doing and I have no one to blame but myself for that.

I was so scared telling anyone each time and each time I ended up in a flood of tears trying to get the words out, but I am glad I did in a lot of ways. The hardest part as said is what their reaction will be, but when your life is screwed one way or another as in my case what have you really got to lose telling people you care about? I say as in my case as obviously it will go to court and then even more people will find out, hopefully no one that knows me and hopefully I can live as normal a possible life but will have to cross that bridge when I come to it.

I have told my parents, therapist and best friend. Mom actually thinks I'm lying about being a pedophile, she says I watch too much Law and order lol
