seeing professional: should i worry? minor attracted issues

My boyfriend is attracted to prepubescent girls. It has put me in a position where I have gone over the edge of stress (involving that and our abortion in December, my second. PLEASE no judgement on that). I am literally feeling helpless and like I want to harm myself all over again (This has not been an issue in 5 years). I set up an appointment but I dont want to get my boyfriend (pedophile viewing questionable material) in trouble. I just need someone to talk to, a professional.. My appointment is on Friday afternoon. Do you have experience with seeing a professional on pedophilic issues? Are there any guidelines I should follow to ensure my man is safe in my endeavors of seeking help and guidance ( for my own personal safety)? Anything I should clarify before she makes a drastic move? I dont believe he is exclusive pedophile but he is mostly interested in kids and can only sometimes be hard for me. This is killing me from many angles. Please help. I have no where else to turn about this. Thank you in advance.

You know there's a Cutting and Self Forum here on Psychforums if you need support or to talk to people with experience in that area?

I've got no experience with seeing professionals on paedophilic issues, but I really hope tomorrow proves to be beneficial for you both. You deserve a breakthrough.

Seeking help is risky for people in this situation. I was treated like so terribly by my first therapist he acted like I had a backpack filled with children that I just carried around, scooping up little girls as I made about my day. He was an ignorant ass. Try to seek a therapist who has experience in sexuality issues and sexual addiction, they'll be more accepting.

With my first therapist, he changed our appointments because a little girl happened to be in the lobby at the same time as me. It made me feel inhuman.

Clarify that he's never done anything illegal and has never once distributed child pornography. If he hasn't done that, then there's nothing they can pull against him. If the doctor brings up anything about "curing" him, just leave. She has no idea what she's talking about.
