Telling a poster who is in a highly sensitive and vulnerable position that they are "sick" and "deserves putting down" is not okay.

I am not aware of any laws that say people with HIV cannot have sex, or even unprotected sex, but simply that they must inform their sex partners of their HIV-positive status before having unprotected sex (and of course obtain the partner's consent to have unprotected sex).

HIV-positive people still deserve respect and the right to express their sexuality. Judgemental attitudes like those exhibited discourage people with STIs from disclosing their infections. Nobody deserves to be 'put down'. :x

Also, HIV is not a death sentence like it used to be. With current medical treatment, people with HIV can expect a normal lifespan. (A median life expectancy of 75.0 years was calculated in one recent study.)

Jody, I hope the doctors listen to you and that you you get the help you want.
No diagnosis, lots of opinions, and a bunch of issues that I haven't quite figured out.

Unfortunately we're dealing with somebody who is spreading a fatal disease with a problem that could be solved by recognising how heinous his own behaviour is, *mod edit*

Jody - it's every bit as bad as I made out. I very much hope you read what I said, own it and that it makes you seek help.

Mmm, have you attempted to seek out a therapist that deals with transsexualism? He/she could surely direct you to a more trans friendly community and a good doctor who can get you on track with this stuff. Also, the fact that you're self medicating is risky because of all the health concerns, but you already mentioned that. You really need to find a therapist, and by extension, a better doctor.

It's good that you stopped having unprotected sex though.

Please stay in contact, Jody, despite all of the jack asses here spouting bs at you. Some of us really do want to help.

firstly all i say is fantasy and with no malace so dont take it as real.make your own mind up
half the people in here write about things that are wrong, bipolar who dont takes meds but still drive and people advise will be ok not to tell authorities although illegal and dangerous. people claiming they may be pedophiles, people admitting to all sorts of things. all posts must be taken with a large pinch of salt as you havnt a clue who they are and if they are genuine. anyone can join this site with no checks so it can be more fantasy land than real. i think actually the site you want is something like the nazi group. com they had easy answers like yours to put people down. i think people who say people should be put down should be put down.
i pity you for your narrow mindedness and feel sorry you missed out on the final solution you would obviously been very happy been part of it.
help from this site no never youy have no way of knowing whoes giving it , god it could be someone who thinks putting people down is an answer. yeh id really trust your advice. you wernt giving advice on ask fm by any chance were u. only kidding its all in good fun

Hi jody,
Good to see you're still posting. Just a suggestion: maybe start a new thread so you can get back to writing about what you want to discuss? You could choose a different forum too, if you want.

what i will say arguing aside is im not trying to justify any actions. i have basically been ignored by the docs after asking and offering to be chem castrated to try to kill my sex drive them knowing my situation. its too much of a taboo subject in this country so much so the docs hands are tied.i wanted to go through he docs as they give an injection that once in works for a period of time plus they monitor, you the injection is £8 id even pay for it myself.self medicating is guesswork and if my mood changes enough i can give up. if you have a drink addiction then yeh come in lets help.if you have a drug addiction then yeh come in lets help. sex drive problem, well if you want to raise it then yes we will help ask to drop it and wow its like you become public enemy no 1. they do sort of try to help but its indirect they offer anti depressants which have a max 40% chance of affecting sex drive but like for me had nasty side effects and im not depressed so why cant they use proven drugs that act directly on the problem. . it feels a bit like going to the dentist with tooth ache and them giving you some chewing gum and saying that may help. i have a great problem with shyness and mood swings so im not a confidant person when i go to see the doc.
