Saying goodbye

Forum friends,

I wanted to say that I most likely won't be around the forums much from now on, and, after being such an active member the past few months, I felt it would be rude to just disappear, even though the nature of the internet makes it (too) easy to do so. Many of you I've exchanged messages with, on and off the public boards, and I've enjoyed very much being a part of this community. I am in awe of the honesty of members who have shared their stories, concerns, fears, and hopes; I am humbled by the willingness of members to grant understanding and extend compassion to those who receive too little of it in the "real" world; and, most of all, I am always amazed at the courage and integrity of those who strive to do and be their best in the face of what can, at times, feel like overwhelming challenges.

A community of paraphiliacs and their sympathizers and antagonizers is an inspiring, wonderful, weird, annoying, frustrating, sad, scary, crazy, fun, and very human place to be. I'm glad I had the opportunity to be a part of it, and I wish everyone the very best.

Well that is unfortunate given the quality of your contributions but it is your choice, of course. Many times I have been very close to posting just to say you have nailed some argument brilliantly here or there but I never got to it. Anyway, farewell and take care.
