38 yr old daughter with PPD I think?

Hello everyone, I am just trying to decide how best to help my daughter she was released from the local Pschyciatric hospital at the end of March this year. She is currently on Income Support and not working and doesn't plan to work, her reasoning is this, she was raped and has been videotaped for the past three years, they are looking for her, she is dead already because they have killed her. She thinks I am involved somehow that I initiated the whole thing. Everyone in the world has seen naked pictures of her. She is trying to get AISH but they have turned her down and she is now appealing that decision. My husband and I are helping her financially, I am paying for her cable and internet and sometimes food and cigarettes, she gets 669 per month rent is 600 and power is 50. She has no phone. She goes everywhere in a winter coat and sunglasses even in 30 degrees celsius weather, mostly in pajamas as well. She won't go to the food bank because she doesn't like the lady who runs it. She occasionally sends me accusatory emails about lieing to her and working with these people behind her back the other night out of the blue she says I guess I was all over the news too, while the trial was going on and I was isolated in Red Deer?? I said what the hell are you talking about, no answer the next day she sends me this messenger chat I have removed her name and I hope the language is not offensive to some.

So I showed this to my daughter-in-law she says I should stop helping her because I am enabling her to hide and not seek help for herself. Any advice would be helpful, do you think this is PPD or something else none of what she says is true or has happened. I wish I had $80,000 dollars to lose I have no idea where she got this figure from or where this trial idea got into her head. Please comment and tell me what you think this is and if I should continue to financially support her. She is currently not seeking any help for herself and maybe they are right I am just enabling her.

Hi Colleen,

I can't say whether you're enabling her or not, but from what you've described I'm wondering if she has violent tendencies.
Please take caution interacting with her while she's this unstable. I'm wondering if it would be best to not interact with her at all when she's like this. Delusions are powerful things and trying to reason with your daughter is most likely futile and counterproductive.
Has she ever been officially diagnosed? It sounds like schizophrenia to me, but I'm not a doctor and am only speculating.
Does she see a psychiatrist?

No she is not seeing a psych she quit seeing the last psychologist, she didn't like him I guess he was sick a lot, AISH is insisting she does go see one, I haven't spoken to her since this note, we had a blowup right after and I told her we couldn't help her anymore if she wouldn't get help for herself. I told her all this nonsense was delusions and that none of this happened, she totally believes it of course, and said I was lying and that there was nothing wrong with her. She is on meds but I don't think they are working one of them is Seroquil and the other an antidepressent she thinks the Seroquel is just for sleeping, I told her it was an antipsychotic she doesn't seem to believe that. I do worry about her when I don't see her, but the freedom is also nice. Most of the time she is ok she acts reasonably normal but every once in a while these delusions seem to take over.

PS Her first diagnosis two yrs ago was PPD I don't know what this new diagnosis was she won't tell me or let me speak to the doctor's about it.
