I'm not a doctor, but I found this helped me

I found out I had a thyroid issue, and couldn't take the medication because I was having extra depression symptoms I think due to the modified corn starches found in it.

So, I got my neck massaged and my panic dissipated. Usually I think about panicking a few times a day, almost like I know it's going to happen, and after a massage, I instantly feel a lot better, the negative ideas i feel hit an imaginary brick wall, it's like i can think the bad stuff, but some positive energy just zaps it away, it's like it's not even there anymore. I don't know how else to really explain it. Massages are liberating, and holy do they help me to handle panic.

It's a inner craving to be hugged and held. ;-) Even the smallest kitten feels that !
