For removing shoulder pain you should apply
Ice packs and heat pads which are among the most commonly used treatments for shoulder pain.
Physical therapy is an important aspect of treatment of almost all orthopedic conditions. Physical therapists use different modalities to increase strength, regain mobility, and help return patients to their pre-injury level of activity.
Cortisone is a powerful medication that treats inflammation, and inflammation is a common problem in patients with shoulder pain.

I agree with the previous post. I had extreme shoulder pain that prevented me from sleeping recently, and anti-inflammatories seem to have miraculously aided it. Also, I suggest hot baths. They don't seem to help after you leave the bath, but while you're in it, it's very soothing. I like to listen to some music and just relax for some hours in there.

I'm sorry to hear about your shoulder. I know how you feel. I have chronic shoulder, arm and hand pain for a year and a half. Shoulder arthroscopy is my next step, can't wait for this, only thing holding me back is workmans comp authorization. I have a pain level of 8 with pain killers, 10 without. Cortisone injections do help. Rubberbands for strenghtening work too. Good luck!

Pain and depression come hand in hand. As irresistible pain drags to depression. The shoulder pain can be reduce using some stretching exercises and regular water therapy. Otherwise go for a chiropractor.
