fibermyalgia

I have been newly diagnoised although I'm not sure I agree. The hardest part is having pain that nobody can see. When they look at me I see their disbelief. All they recommend is exercise, medication and therapy. See they think of it as a mental problem. Can it really be? I know the pain is real. It feels as if my body is being attacked by something. But I ask myself is it really real. I feel alone in my pain. Anyone out there?
I have DID and need some friends

lady bug, you created a thread about fibromyalgia a while ago but never responded back to it. Here it is: http://psychforums.com/viewtopic.php?p= ... highlight=

Anyway, I am not well-versed on this topic but I do not believe that it is all in the mind; and I also think that your doctor's advice is a bit cheap. I believe that the problem is more to do with the fact that they don't have the facilities to do an adequate body scan on you to determine what is wrong. I strongly suggest going to different forums and reading different article about fibromyalgia in order to hear what other sufferers have said.

I have FIbromyalgia too... im 21.
i have had this hidden condition since i was 14, it took that long to get diegnosed, i went throug, seeing cyropractors, many exams, loads of doctors saying we dont know whats wrong, or, your jjst trying to get drugs, or its all in your head.
I hated doctors, and i DID go home every night and think, is it all me? if i forget and exercise it will be fine?
NO. living with pain is arfull, expecially when no one belives you, you need pain killers, so to the doctors they see DRUG SEEKING BEHAVIOR. but its not, its pain, it dpsnt matter that im young and i apparentrly cant have anything, im too young...

well i ended up finally getting a diegnosis, and i found a doctor who is a good doctor, but the pain still comes, the fatigue still kicks in, and the other issues i have make it even worse.

sometimes i look up into the sky and i say... you have a narcassistic personality.
(not that i am a christian or anything)

Unfortrunatly alot of doctors are bad and dont belive in this condition, hopfully soon they will come to learn... or quit there jobs!
The tears that trickle down at one time, are as unmeaning as the loud laugh which succeeds them
