ENDOMETRIOSIS & PELVIC PAIN

Postby Meowzer » Wed Apr 17, 2013 4:24 am

Has anyone else been diagnosed with endometriosis out there?

I was diagnosed 2 years ago, I am at stage 4. I have my 4th surgery next month. It drains me. I am ALWAYS in pain, always feeling weak, tired. My life has changed so much in the last two years. I used to be a runner, I worked 60 hours a week and went to school full time, I HAD A LIFE!I couldn't imagine being able to run for 1 minute now. I've had to reduce my hours down to 10 hours a week. And I am taking classes part time now. I wish there were a cure for endometriosis. I am sick of it!

How do you deal with your endometriosis pain?

hey there i have chronic pain from endometriosis and just had my first surgery. I was put on Depo Provera birth control shot and although the side effects for me are like menopausal lol, it keeps the tissue from growing rapidly and helps a lot with the pain!!

Please ask your doctor about it!

I agree with the above, I suffered terribly in my teens, then after my first op I was given the depo and it helps tremendously. Occasionally I'll forget to go back for my depo and the pain starts creeping in, but once I've had the injection the pain subsides. I cannot recommend it enough.
BPD and anxiety.
Completed CBD and DBT, soon starting CAT.
Currently taking 375mg venlafaxine, 250mg depakote, 100mg seroquel, 2mg lorazepam.
Any questions just ask :)

I also have Endometriosis; I understand how difficult it is to live with such a horrible disease.

I'm 23 and was diagnosed at 20. I've had 5 operations and had a Mirena IUD fitted during my last operation. Are you on hormone medications?

My GP has also referred me to a pain clinic. Could you ask about a possible referral?

Hi,

I was diagnosed with severe stage Endometriosis at 19 and had 5 surgeries - I'm now 23. I really do understand how hard it is to live in pain. I was referred to a pain clinic but I found them useless. Due to my other MH problems, they won't give me strong pain relief.

I just wanted to let you know you're never alone.

Have you tried looking on the Endometriosis website? They have a lot of support groups.

DM me if you ever need to talk,

x
