what I've found that helps me with intrusive thoughts is thinking the opposite of what I usually do with my intrusive thoughts, thinking them before i think intrusive thoughts and then I realize that i don't want to act on them, but it can be difficult, I also use sarcasm with my intrusive thoughts and that definitely helps, but let me end with this if your afraid of attraction to your intrusive thoughts then your brain will start generating a false attraction, plus if you were heterosexually attracted before your OCD started just look at it as OCD, also don't test them I've even thought of acting my intrusive thoughts but then I realize i dont want I just to see if i'm aroused by them

Hi aesntone,
like you i over analize to try to understand and see how can i have a minimum control over what is going on...sometimes simply ignoring helps too.
