OK so I'm on day two of the Klonopin/Prozac cocktail. I'm cautiously optomistic--but approximately 1 hour after I take the pill, I get super exhausted and then after an hour of exhaustion, I get my energy back. Is there anything I can do to get thru that period? It's pretty severe.

Also, I read somewhere I can only stay on it for 9 weeks? What if I want it for life?

This pill is literally knocking me out.... should I counter it with 5 hour energy shot?

Wow. Quiet forum. I decided to cut the morning pill in half. It doesn't completely eliminate the ruminations but it's very quiet. Usually wears off around 6 or 7 at night. I think tonight I'll take a whole pill (.5) and see how far it gets me thru the day. Bottom line I'm not falling asleep at the wheel LOL!

Well since I last posted, I've been steadily taking 60 mg of Prozac with .5 Klonopin in the morning and another .5 Klonopn before bed.

I guess it's working fairly good. I still get the thoughts but they don't overwhelm me or freeze me in my tracks. The Narcissistic fantasies have completely gone away and I can focus on tasks at hand. My mind stays blank most of the time. I like that. For over 20 years I've listened to constant chatter in my head and they're finally gone.

My wife gave birth to my first son (second child) recently. 9 days later he died. Heart problem. She's completely shattered. But for some reason I haven't felt very much. Maybe the shields are too strong. I know I should be crushed right? From time to time I get flashes of severe emotion and pain but then it just disappears. If I stopped the meds I'd just wind up dealing with thousands of other voices telling me doubts which are trivial and nonsensical. So I guess I'm better off behind the shields:S

Sorry to hear your family news. My son has OCD. He battled with a host of OCD meds. Eventually he was stabilized on Luvox. I think some people get gastro like symptoms on it but he didn't. He did get that blunted emotional feeling. He didn't always like that and reduced his meds till he could feel something. It took a long time to get it right. He is now on 100mg of Luvox. He is still a terrible sleeper but has little OCD.

You know what I can understand why he did that. Sometimes I'll space out the Klonopin, let some anxiety in and make sure I'm not forgetting about anything important.

My therapist thinks I'm schizoid and the drug doc thinks I'm OCD. I've always had blunt feelings and hazy connections with people to include even my own family.

That being said, as disturbing as the shields are, I'd rather feel nothing than revert back to the chatter I dealt with before.
