Hi
Had therapy today and was feeling good. Then....
Driving down a road near home and have my music on...suddenly notice cars in front had moved to the left a bit. Look behind me and there's an ambulance wanting to pass me. Oh god...I hadnt checked mirrors so didn't know it was there...and had music on so didn't hear (tho think it was lights only...not sure!!!). I could even have been not looking in front (fiddling with cd player etc) and only noticed AFTER the cars moved as opposed to seeing them moving which would obviously make the hold up time less.
Now convinced the extra seconds I held it up resulted in someone dying!!!!
OCD over reaction or would a normal person feel bad?
Honesty please!

OCD over-reacting because you did not purposely try to hold back the ambulance. Any normal person would not think about this for more than a 2 seconds.
A normal person would probably not even think that someone would die because he held up an ambulance for an extra 5 seconds.

Sounds like scrupulosity OCD. I have the same problem. Keep in mind that an ambulance takes a while to reach its destination and has to pass a lot of cars, so you can't claim sole responsibility for the event because you reacted just a little slower than the car in front of you.
