Did I harm someone??

I have been obsessing about 'wrongs' I have done in my past and a new one sprung up.

When driving at a roundabout in the daytime ages ago (so long I can't remember details) I think I moved over lanes as I was confused and in the wrong one. I then heard a horn and a crash.

Basically I think a pick up truck (smaller kind that builders use to transport tools) crashed in to a car in front.

Because it was a confusing, new and busy place I just kinda got out of there.

Now I am feeling guilty. Should I have stopped? Did I cause the crash? Could anyone have been hurt? (we were going slow as either just pulled off from roundabout lights or just going around the roundabout as you do).

I'm convinced someone got hurt and I'll never know. It's all my fault

What if there were kids in the car? What if a cyclist was involved? This episode is ruining my life

I'm on meds, see a therapist etc etc but I'm still stuck on this.

I think if someone had been hurt seriously you would have heard about it, on the news or in the local paper. You said you where going slow so its unlikely there was a crash, and if there was at that speed it would not be serious.
I don't think you have hurt anyone and I don't think you should worry about this.

I'd think about it logically. In this day of age, if you were to have caused someone serious injury long ago then the likelihood is the you would have either heard about it by now. Unless you were driving a stolen car, I'm guessing the authorities would have pegged you by now.

Stop worrying about it, worst case is you owe the builder a new front bumper for his van!

Thank you both. I think I'm just in a hyper state at the moment.

My nan died in November and my uncle died yesterday. I have big issues with death as well as my OCD and everything is getting a bit much.

Just trying to stay logical x
