i was playing a game the other day which i'd been playing for a while (about a week) almost constantly until i completed it -- i just HAD to complete it -- and my friend jokingly said OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE and i thought about it and after reading a bit it seems that it would actually explain a lot....dyou's think i should see if i can get a professional opinion or does it matter? i'm not sure that it matters, but i thought i'd ask hehe --S

I used to have peculiar counting things too, amongst other peculiar things.
At times the compulsions just had to be done. Like, after having a shower I would have to spray the cold water over my body (quite uncomfortable!) or else my parents would die. I also had to leave the handle on the bathroom door in a certain way or else they would die also. I had certain ways to dress myself. I had a place for every food item in the kitchen. Basically I did what science tries to do - Define and order everything!

I so recognise this. A few years back I used to dread taking showers. I could be in there forever. It was awful..
