Hey Reserval, existence can be pretty weird if observed closely and non-stop. For example, we are made of atoms, which are the building blocks of molecules, that are fundamental to life... even scientists are baffled by existence... so it's normal to question it.
Are you a thoughtful person? If so, I can relate.
Concerning the "Why/How" inquiries, I think we often ask ourselves hypothetical questions, which do not have answers, because they are raised from supposed scenarios, e.g.--I could not have been born the way I was, but I was. It is important to note that these questions raised beyond your known existence are... well, hypothetical, and they're fun to ask, but when they're distressing it's not so fun...
I'm not sure why you feel you're wasting your life, or that you are not good enough, but I hope you could work through it.
Oh and yeah, normal people do wonder about existence and stuff like that... and existence can be distressing because of the way it's taught in our modern culture... like, psychology says personality can be categorized and behavior predicted, meanwhile the sciences dictate our perspective on the world and universe with theories always subject to revision. Once we're done with school lol all this stuff really gets to ours head.
Also, Butterfly has good points about the abusing and guiltiness.
