Are you really gay or is it H-OCD?
If you really are gay, there is not a "false sense of security", there should just be.. "security". Being homosexual is nothing to be ashamed of. Sexuality is simply one part of us. It doesn't define us. It's simply what we are.

I think it's HOCD but the panic when I see a guy or anything on the telly that's gay related, or just a man in general I get all nervous and anxious yet when I see a nice looking girl and think oh she's nice looking, my mind says you don't really think that

Yeah I get that too with girls lately. Like there was this really hot girl on the bus today, and my heart started racing.

But then my HOCD kicks in, did I really find her hot?

I have so many questionw about my sexuality. but that is because I really do not find either gender entirely attractive so it leads to some obsessive thoughts about what sexuality I am. I have just decided to just let it go and end up with whoever I end up.
I do not have OCD (though I can get some obsessive thoughts ocassionally) but I am sure it is not so easy to just shut off the thoughts, but maybe just relax and just let the answer be a "maybe" . If you like the opposite sex, you will still like them despite having thoughts that you are attracted to the same sex.

JPKAS there is also something called "a-sexual" maybe you should look that up

.
@callumhelp i've read your post , and i have been on the exact same spot, did the same things as you did, tested myself even on the same way as you did, and i am straight (maybe bi but i dont realy care)
There was one difference: i kept asking " am i gay or is this HOCD " over and over again on different forums. And you ask " what can i do about me OCD" thats the only difference that confuses me.

I've done both but lately on this one I've just been putting OCD, because I think you all know my problem?

Mr. Confused i actually consider myself a demi-sexual pansexual...so I do know about asexuality it juat does not quite fit me. It is not that I do not have interest, it is just I do not have a loy of interest. I do find people attractive, I just would not have sex with them. also I do not like too feminine or masculine; prefer androgynous.
Anyway, (that is what I meant by being inbetween with everything..not really gay not really straight, not really sexual, but not quite asexual either) we are here to discuss callum's issue.
I really hope you can overcome this obsessive thought and get some peace.

Aww..maybe just try printing off different accounts of it.
and if you already have OCD or other obsessions, then mention those too. so then the focus would be on your obsessive thought problem and not just on the one kind you may have.
I dunno, though, maybe this is your only obssessive thought?
