Think about it like this. You fear homosexual thoughts. You believe that if you are thinking them, then you must, in fact, be a homosexual. Why else would you be having homosexual thoughts? What you do not understand is that fearing homosexual thoughts will make you think them. You see, because you fear the thoughts you are trying to avoid them. To avoid something you must first recognize what it is. However, by recognizing a thought, you are inevitably thinking about it. Try not to think of a white elephant. The first thing you think of is a white elephant, right? You are spending your days telling yourself "try not to think of homosexual thoughts," and thus, you are necessarily thinking them. These thoughts don't mean that you're gay. They mean that you strongly fear being gay. They mean that you have an anxiety disorder (OCD).
I hope this helps, man. I struggle with OCD too, so I know how hard it can be. I only know what I said above because I've been fighting intrusive thoughts for years. You can get through it, though. All you gotta do is stop worrying about it. Thats what all this anyway, worry. Just let go.
