mikey,
Yeh, I'm suffering from depression, officially. My diagnosis was a dual one actually: Depression and OCD. Unoficially, I have Asperger's Syndrome. bereft is right in that there is no specific drug for OCD but I agree that Lexapro/Cipralex is reasonably good enough for it. Lexapro has the effect of 'slowing down' my brain, which allows me to think more before acting on compulsions.

I think I am going to talk with my doctor about stopping the antipsycotic.
I was put on it only after a month of being on the antidep.
I am getting worst side effects the longer I'm on it too.
I feel like I'm messing with my brain too much...
It usually takes longer than a month to start seeing effects? Did you guys find this?
I think I was put on it too quickly.

Well, it took me a long time to notice the effects of Lexparo on myself. I'm talking many weeks, even months. Basically, what you gotta do is stop waiting for the effects to come, and just get into the habit of taking the tablet each morning or whatever. Eventually, you will probaably find yourself looking back to the past and realising that the tablets have benefitted you.
That's what happened in my case, anyway..
