Constand worrying help

Postby Nick1992 » Wed Apr 16, 2008 1:54 am

are these symptoms of OCD?

-constantly worrying about upcoming events and what you will say and happen and the need to plan it all out beforehand.

-constant worrying after the event about what you and others said and imagining things that never happened.

-I have violent, sexual and religious unwanted thoughts

-I don't think I have compulsions, but I did when I was younger

-wanting to yell things in public

Hey, mikey1988! I'm not an expert or anything, but they do sound like they might be OCD symptoms. You don't need to put a lable on them to try and treat them, though. Have you talked to a psych? It's ok if you can't, we're here if you need to talk.

Hey jasmin thanks for replying. I am going to a councler and he said he is going to get me a prescription which I'm not sure about taking yet.

I'm wondering if the constant worrying is related to OCD because if it is, that would explain it better. If not, then it is just something else I have a problem with, unrelated to the unwanted thoughts.

I've read here that people worry becouse of the OCD, so that's probably it. I hope it goes well with your meds. You can try it and see if it works.

Striving after the perfection is pretty much a mutual character for all OCD having persons. However ,it doesn't mean that everyone pursuing the perfection is doomed to have OCD.

Generally speaking ,there is two premises to judge if someone have OCD.The first one is your obsessional compulsive behaviors has lasted for a pretty long time .The second is the person him feel the conflict and agony just out of those behaviors .If you don't feel any suffering or agony ,you may just call the phenomenon happening on you the inclination of compulsion.

You know you are just holding your compulsive behaviors in suspicion. I believe putting a OCD lable on yourself is definitely the last thing you should do .As for the mild inclination of compulsion ,it is easy to get recovered just through the application of therapeutic treatment starting from a standpoint of anxiety . Anyway ,the right aproach is you should go to a prefessional or consult your doctor in detail. Don't sit there and worry and worry! :D
Hope this helps !
