Part of me wonders how many people are on here that are actively deep in recovery/managing their symptoms. I know that this forum can be a trigger for me; I basically only visit it when my OCD is really acting up and I'm looking for something to alleviate it.
For me, working out definitely puts me in a better mood than before and helps with the intrusive thoughts. I like to do heavy intense lifting at the gym although this can spike my anxiety (I experience HOCD, and having dudes lifting around me can make that worse

), but I almost always feel pretty good afterwards. This is just a temporary fix, however. I am hoping to get into some therapy and get prescribed medication soon.
I am curious, how have your experiences with therapy and medication gone for you? Have you found that it helps reducing symptoms of your OCD/Pure OCD?
