Loss of attraction & hopelessness (hocd?)

Postby WorriedG287 » Wed Apr 04, 2018 10:05 pm

Every time I look at an attractive man I just feel this sadness and almost knowing feeling that I'll never feel real desire for men again. It just feels so hopeless and I don't know what to do.

Can't ever see myself embracing the idea of being with a woman, yet my attraction to men is nonexistent anymore. So where do I go from here?

My motivation and desire to do much of anything is also gone, as this is all making me very depressed. I can't imagine living my life feeling like this. I'm reluctant to go to a therapist, as right now I can't afford an OCD specialist and don't want to go to just any therapist.

Anyone else experience extreme loss of attraction with all the doubting? Feeling alone in this one.

Hey. I felt a loss of attraction to women for years and it scared me. It sucks feeling incomplete and unable to date anyone because you feel no attraction. You are not alone in that regard.

It hasn't come back I just had to cope with it. I still spike seeing nice looking guys, but the spikes are more annoying g than the intense feelings I had 8-12 years ago.

If you obsess on it expecting to melt everything you see an attractive guy, you will be disappointed and your immediate reaction will be "I'm not attracted to these guys, I'm gay." But that's not the case.
