Does the "groinal response" include the feeling like you're mentally turned on, even if in a disgusting way? Or is it just the physical response with no psychological arousal?

Also when you say "false arousal" do you mean physical arousal or psychological arousal?
Cause I rarely ever get "physical arousals" but I always get "psychological arousals" (the feeling of being "turned on" even though you hate that, it's what sticks me to the HOCD). Is that fake arousal too? Or is fake arousal only physical, but not psychological?

Well, considering I'm in the same boat (I hope?), IDK if there's really a good answer to it. What dictates psychological arousal anyway. As someone who can't for the most part visualize things in my mind it's hard for me to "get" what others experience typically in such situations.

No I mean like, when people here say they have groinal responses, is it JUST the physical feeling of an erection or is it also the mental feeling of "being turned on"?
I mean, sometimes you get erections out of nowhere right? These erections don't come with arousal.
But do groinal responses come with the feeling of arousal? Or is it just being hard but not feeling anything psychologically?

I think it varies from person to person. There's been people who've claimed pretty much any feeling of being aroused including ultimately orgasm(?) is possible depending on many factors. People also have said they feel sensations resembling crush or such too like body temp and possibly heart rate or flushed.

But I do get the feeling of arousal, even if it makes me disgusted, but I don't get erect. Is it still false arousal ?

like when you look at a woman and you feel her body is sexually attractive but you don't necessarily get an erection
it's psychological but not physical

I don't get that, I can't picture stuff in my mind voluntarily at a whim.

Can't you feel aroused without having an erection?
