Hey everyone! I have recently done erp, meditation, and some other therapy techniques in a book I read. I noticed a specific relief after. I went without obsessions for a few hours which is a big accomplishment. Don't be shy and please reply with any recent obsession free times and what you did to achieve that. By writing out these things, you yourself might find relief too.

Whenever I'm really involved in something I am enjoying, like a good movie. All fears, obsessions and anxiety are furthest from my mind. More so when I am working on a project. If I'm immersed in a painting or doing a drawing that's going really well, I'm aware of obsessions but I just don't care. It's like nothing else matters. Unfortunately this happens rarely these days. OCD makes it difficult to relax enough to be able to begin such projects.
Theres never enough time. If time moved more slowly, or if there were an added ten hours to each day, I could do much better.
Congratulations on your success. I'm trying to find a doctor in my insurance network who does CBT. No luck so far..

If I'm concentrating on something, or busting my tail at work, I tend to focus less on my current obsessions, which are revolving around how I feel physically- right now I'm hyperaware of pressure in the skull, and tinnitus. It's less, when I'm busy with something.

Good luck on your search. I too am trying to find a CBT specialized therapist in my region and its really difficult.
I also have tinnitus but it got worse when I started vaping nicotine ejuice.

Tinnitus must go horrible with OCD. My sympathies to you both.
