Daydreaming/Running Disorder. . .

Postby Aurora_ » Sun Jun 19, 2016 3:52 am

 As embarrassed as I am to admit it, I'm a teenager, Just going into teen years, And still daydreaming a lot. And while I do it, I run back and forth in my bedroom, Many people that don't know me well thinks it's weird.

But it's like a moody thing, I like to listen to music and jump off my bed and run back and forth daydreaming about being in an action movie, or fighting, etc.

Other times I run around while making faces and I don't even realize that I'm in the real world. Usually I do it at night more than the day.

And other times, I'm daydreaming about perverted fantasies. This doesn't change much, but I'm a homosexual male and have the knack to also think stuff like that.

Weird I know, but what would this disorder be called?

I also scream and go into panic attacks if I can't run when I need to run back and forth.

Lot of energy to burn off? Teens have an obscene amount of energy- it's totally wasted on the young, just sayin'...

I don't think the burning off energy is anything unusual, maybe take up running or something outside? Just please don't daydream so much you run out in front of a car! But it does sound as if you get anxious when you can't engage in it.

Seems to me someone once posted somewhere in PF about the need to run in circles. Can't remember what forum, though. Possibly OCD. So you're not the only one to post about something like this, if that makes you feel a bit less odd for doing it.

Oh, and you're a teenager- I don't know what 'perverted fantasies' constitutes, but you're a teenage male, yeah you're gonna have some freaky daydreams- again I wouldn't stress it, sweetie.
