I am diagnosed with OCD and have had POCD since I was 10 years old.
I have felt the need to test myself back then and sometimes (not often) now, and today I had anxiety about something POCD related and tested myself during masturbation to see if I was aroused by something. I got a groinal response but deep down I know I have NO ATTRACTION to children. It's mostly the 'wrongness' of thinking about the specific topic that triggers the groinal response. I very rarely test myself anyway but I always feel disgusted and ashamed afterwards because I feel like a freak or a perv.
Is this normal for someone who has had POCD for almost 6 years?

All that you mentioned is typical for POCD, even after six years. I can relate to your text very much.
Please don't worry about the groinal response you got when you were testing through masturbation. Of course you're aroused when you masturbate, no matter what you think of. It doesn't mean that you like the thoughts.
