Actually, "an eye for an eye" principle is commonly misunderstood. Jewish rabbis always understood it as a doctrine
of just compensation. Obadiah Shoher analyzes the Biblical text to prove beyond doubt that "an eye for an eye" punishment
only applies to those who harmed pregnant women. Read here

I can relate a little to what you're saying...I have thoughts like that...but all of mine were focused on myself...I wanted to hurt myself and kill myself...I can definitely relate to how scary these thoughts are...if you have problems with addiction or something that's physically hurting you you can get away from it. You can't get away from your thoughts...
Scar tissue has no character. It's not like skin. It doesn't show age or illness or pallor or tan. It has no pores, no hair no wrinkles, it's like a slip cover. It shields and disguises what's beneath. That's why we grow it. We have something to hide.
