after many years i've finially gone and seen a phsyc, I've been prescribed Olanzapine for my OCD, but after doing a little research I've noticed that this isn't typically used to treat OCD?
I'm 6 weeks in on 5mg, should I just stick it out and get higher dosage to see if it helps, or ask for a med switch?

I was put on Olanzapine a while back as an adjunct to Prozac, which I was taking for both OCD and depression. The Olanzapine, however was prescribed to help with depression-related anger, not OCD.
I'm wondering why your doc didn't try Prozac first. How severe is your OCD?
Since it's already been six weeks, you might as well stick it out.
Not sure if it did anything for my OCD as I couldn't handle the side effects and got off it. I was also taking 5 mg.
I'm curious: Is it helping? are you experiencing any side effects?
