I have OCD and I have a lot of obsessions and compulsions (washing, checking, number avoiding, color avoiding etc) but I have noticed something really bizarre in my thinking. When I'm around other people I can't help but feel ashamed of myself and ashamed of other people too. And it's not even for a good reason. Weird thoughts pop into my head and I see myself and other people in bizarre situations that I can't even talk about or explain. I imagine other people or myself doing ridiculous things, and I feel repulsed. Is this common with OCD?

When you say...
not even for a good reason. Weird thoughts pop into my head
The first part is irrational thoughts and the other part is intrusive/unwanted thoughts. I think it's anxiety - since you say that you have OCD.

I'd have to agree with Otter. This sounds precisely like anxiety of some form, and if you say you have been diagnosed with OCD, it's likely the cause.
