Music playing in my head non stop

For the last 5 months now, I think I've been suffering from ocd, which all started from a Hocd at university. Then as time went on I started having phases where id obsess about various things, but thankfully over time I was able to overcome it and it subsided. However, every now and then I do these anxiety attacks where I'll temporarily obsess about something but I am able to control it. Quite recently, before I had been going to bed or when the time reached for me to go to sleep I would constantly hear the same song on repeat in my head. However, because it was something that'd only happened before I went bed I dididnt think of it much. Then all of a sudden the other day as I woke up the music was still there in my head and it has been tormenting me ever since. With what I have, I don't actually hear it, its in my head. Its not a specific song but it'll be various songs but once I think about one o hear one the melody gets stuck and I go through this 24/7. I have trouble staying asleep become of this, because I wake up at times with the music constantly there and I have difficulties concentrating or finding a moment of peace. I need this out of my life asap, I can't deal with it anymore

I was just thinking about this today. When my anxiety is up (as is is now), songs will play over and over in my head, as well as beats (loops), and assorted things along this line. This used to affect my sleep, but I am on a powerful drug (for BP) at the moment. Still, I know where you are coming from on this, and we have had a few people post about this in the past - it is not uncommon (sadly) for people with anxiety disorders.

Funny you should mention this because I felt like something similar with songs appearing in my head occasionally lately too. They've usually been random things from way in the past though and I'm not sure why they started happening and playing in my head but they have been.
